Comic-Con 2008: Watchmen

First up, Watchmen.

The panel: Malin Akerman, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Carla Gugino, Jackie Earle Haley, Billy Crudup, Patrick Wilson, Matthew Goode, and Director Zack Snyder. They showed us a special extended trailer. There still wasn't any dialogue in it, but we got to see a lot more. It's going to be so hyper-stylized and visually stunning. Yes, those will be the review quotes.

The cast was pretty cool.

LOL moments:
Question for Billy Crudup: "What was it like being a blue man and was the rest of the Blue Man Group jealous you got the part?"
Answer: "We're not on speaking terms anymore."

When someone dressed as Rorschach asked Zack about the recent trend toward more mature comic book movies, Zack responded, "It's cool that you are asking about a more mature audience while you're dressed like that." I love it when the panelists make fun of people. And people don't seem to mind it either.

I don't know who this Matthew Goode kid is but he was funny and cool (and not just cuz he's British). He's playing Adrian with a bit of a German accent in his private life. This doesn't concern me, but fanboys might freak out, I don't know. He seemed to have a good explanation for it, thinking Adrian's parents were Nazis.

The movie should be awesome, and hopefully faithful to the comic.
